About

East Troy is a peaceful town with an abundance of charm, perfect for those who desire to make their home in a quieter part of the state and still have easy access to the larger commerce hubs in southeast Wisconsin.  Take a walk around the square in downtown East Troy and grab a cup of freshly brewed coffee and homemade muffins from the farmhouse styled coffee house and eatery.  Located in the same building, you can meander through the selection of organic and locally grown produce in the modest grocery area.  Find your newest read at the bookshop or pick up a bottle of wine next door at the liquor store.  Across the way sits an old bank reimagined as a brew house and restaurant with the bar situated where the teller’s boxes once stood.  Enjoy a tasting of the house-brewed beers or take an official tour of their brewery, and don’t forget to step inside the antiquated vault where you can still see the old cash boxes.  The square is also home to many community events throughout the year.  Come out for brats and hotdogs to support the local clubs and stay to listen to performances from swing bands to rock bands to orchestra ensembles.

East Troy is perfect for family life.  Take your family to the clear and cool water at Booth Lake beach boothlakememorialpark.com. The waterfront is supervised by lifeguards and open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.  Several recreational areas like the Mill Pond Park offer fishing spots for the youngest in your family to the oldest!  Celebrate the 4th of July with the whole town at the carnival, firework show, and the largest beer tent in southeast WI (carefully moderated by local authorities to ensure access is restricted to 21 years and older only).  Step back in time at Lauber’s, an old-fashioned ice cream parlor specializing in creating historically accurate desserts like a cherry ice cream soda or banana split.  Get a burger on a Saturday evening at Gus’s Drive-In and admire the classic cars that come from all over each week for the Saturday night car show.  In the winter, participate in the annual tree lighting and greet Santa Claus as he rolls into town on the trolly line that runs between East Troy and Mukwonago.
